In scripture, numbers are metaphors for numerous things.  Three, obviously represents the Trinity.  Ten stands for power.  The numbers that are senn most often are 7 and 12 which symbolize completeness and fulfillment.  Multiples of these numbers are likewise.  Things in nature are often seen in these numbers which adds to the depth of their significance.  We have 12 sets of ribs.  We have 12 pairs of cranial nerves.  The day and night each have 12 hours.  There are 7 colors of light, 7 notes of music, and Pure Water has the ph value of 7.  As a family we want to be pure like the perfect water, balanced and unblemished
